About treatment
In my practice I feel that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most key elements. It is my goal to establish an environment in which you feel comfortable.
Goals for therapy will be created together and will be guided by you and what you would like to accomplish in our sessions.

Below are some of the methods and approaches that may be utilized in sessions to help work towards established goals.
Cognitive behavioral therapy
CBT is an approach which emphasizes the importance and relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behavior.
Family systems approach
Family systems theory emphasizes the importance of recognizing people as a part of their family system as opposed to an isolated individual.
We can look at how overall family functioning has impacted and shaped you as an individual.
This approach places importance on how family dynamics, roles, and communication patterns/styles impact an individual's functioning.
solution focused
Through this approach emphasis is placed on setting and identifying goals/solutions and creating a clear, realistic vision and plan for reaching these goals.
Maybe you are able to identify what you would like to accomplish, but are struggling with where or how to start. Together we can identify the barriers that are present and develop an action plan to help you move towards obtaining your goals.
